You may have just recently seen the name BW Flexible Systems, but if you’re in the packaging industry, you know it has a long legacy with some of the most trusted brands.
BW Flexible Systems (formerly Hayssen Flexible Systems,) headquartered in Duncan, South Carolina, is a global packaging machinery supplier specializing in flexible packaging solutions for a wide range of industries, including bakery, confectionary snack foods, frozen foods, fresh produce, cheese, pet food and agricultural.
Part of Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Systems, BW Flexible Systems is a $170 million + business with 550 team members in eight manufacturing and 14 sales and service locations around the world. Over the years, the company has installed more than 40,000 machines worldwide.
BW Flexible Systems’ many packaging solutions include: vertical form fill seal, horizontal flow wrap pre-made bag filling, bag making / converting, bag palletizing, weighing and feeding and integrated systems. Their brand portfolio include some of the most recognizable names in flexible packaging: Hayssen, Hudson-Sharp, Rose Forgrove, Sandiacre, Schib, Simionato, SYMACH and Thiele. They also service, upgrade and provide parts for the Roan, Master Conveyor, Amplas and Slidell brands.
BW Flexible Systems was born in 2018 when the flexible packaging experts from Hayssen Flexible Systems and the bag converting and bag filling/palletizing divisions of Thiele Technologies were brought together to form a single team.

BW Packaging Systems is a $700 + million business with more than 3000 team members in nine countries and 37 locations around the world.
Through BW Packaging Systems, customers can find more than just a single machine, they can leverage the combined primary packaging, labeling and end-of-line packaging systems of each of the Barry-Wehmiller packaging companies.
BW Packaging Systems’ primary packaging companies also includes Pneumatic Scale Angelus, a provider of seaming, capping and filling solutions and Synerlink, a provider of fill-seal and form-fill-seal solutions.
Accraply is the BW Packaging Systems provider of labeling and film converting solutions.
BW Integrated Systems is the BW Packaging provider of end-of-line packaging equipment solutions and packaging automation, as well as systems integration.
